Nowadays shared hosting is used by many websites out there, and there is certainly a good reason for it. A shared hosting provider is a provider who hosts your website in company of a few other websites, and all these sites share the same IP address, and this may sometimes be a cause of some serious problems.  The majority of search engines today tend to blacklist, or ban, IP addresses of the whole malicious or misbehaving servers – and not just the domain names. What this means is that if another website that is hosted on the same server as yours is malicious or engaged delivering spam,  your website may be blacklisted along with it. If you use dedicated hosting, this issue is non-existing and there is no need to worry about it. Frequently, you have the option to assign several IP addresses to your dedicated server, which will be perceived by search engines such as Google as separate servers.
